Our tour bus recommends visit there cozy restaurants, galleries and an old-fashioned candy store.
  3. Castle of Counts

This 12th-century fortress in the middle of the old town was constructed by Count Filips of the Elzas as a show of strength to combat the great houses being built by the wealthy patricians of Ghent. A visit to the torture chambers in the cellars further reinforces a somber mood inside.
  4. Saint-Peter´s Abbey

One of Belgium's largest abbeys, the St Pietersabdij has long been the nucleus of Ghent and the city has started to expand outward from the abbey. The chartered bus recommends the orchards and gardens are free to explore and are a great place to be on a summer’s day.
  5. St Baafskathedraal

This cathedral is the birthplace of the Mystic Lamb's Adoration mentioned above but it also deserves a visit on its own merits.
