Discover the Top 10 attractions in Sardinia with Coach Charter Europe - your trusted bus company
There are a lot of nice things to do in Sardinia. Sardinia is really ignored in terms of sightseeing. Its elegance is not well-known by the majority of people outside of Europe. The tourism in Sardinia is mainly for summer due to the brilliant beaches on the island and occasionally for other seasons. There's more to Sardinia than beaches. Perhaps the only thing you have ever learned about Sardinia is its famous Costa Smeralda, the Emerald Coast, which takes its name from the stunning turquoise-blue lapping water against its white sand beaches. But there is a lot more to the rugged Mediterranean Island that matters.

Coach Charter Europe will be your group travel partner when it comes to visit Sardinia. Let the experts look after you and book your tour bus with driver on our website. We can offer long distance coaches for a multi-day trip around Sardinia. You can also chose an Airport shuttle transfer for you and your group Alghero Airport straight to Sardinia center. A chartered bus with driver booked at our bus rental company will be the best choice for a perfect stay at Sardinia.

Coach Charter Europe’s team wanted to show you some of the very best things to do in the Sardinia:

1.   Cagliari and Southern Sardinia

Étretat is a small town in the middle of a stunning coastline in the west of France. Both sides of the town and its pebble beach have massive limestone cliffs with giant arches and peaks and a total height of almost 55 metres.

2. Nuraghe Su Nuraxi

There are literally thousands of these stone towers scattered across Sardinia, most in ruined form, but this is the best preserved and most complete. It is nearest to Cagliari, and the closest to being translated, with twenty-minute tours and English speaking guides. If you were looking for only one, just see this one from UNESCO. The walls in the central tower were possibly 1,500 years old, and the inner and outer towers have been built in the 11th or 12th century B.C. You should ascend the tower to a higher level to see the stacked dome built of dry stone without mortar.

3. Costa Smeralda

From the port town of Olbia to the tip of Capo de Testa, there are wonderful beach resorts and stunning beaches. The centre of all of this is Porto Cervo, which is a picturesque Mediterranean getaway with private yacht parking. It's also a gallery of contemporary art. The most modest retreat of the places of the area is lively little Cannigione, in the seashore of the Gulf of Arzachena.

4. Alghero

You must not be surprised if this multilingual city is remarkably influenced by the Spanish language. It is, and you can still find bilingual signs in Spanish. In the late 1400s, a 14th-century Pope handed Sardinia to the king of Aragon, aiming to snatch the island from the influence of Pisa and Genoa. There is a Gothic doorway in the 14th-century cathedral. One common activity in the evening is to climb the walls that the Spanish constructed for defense against attacks by sea.

5. Nuraghe Losa

Maybe you should not continue touring nuraghes, because you already became obsessed with these enigmatic towers. But most visitors soon fall under the influence of these castle towers, and soon realize that each one is very different from the other.Referred to as one of the top three, Losa is considered exceptional. This artifact doesn't have any illumination because of recessed lamps. This is a very complex, large building with three towers at the corners, inside which you can discover a labyrinth of stone passages..

6. Arzachena Prehistoric Sites

The Stone and Copper Ages attractions are just a few kilometers from the Costa Smeralda resorts but they seem to be a totally different world away. Of the six sites, the nuraghi, burial sites, and the tomba gigante are noteworthy. This area is known for its beautiful rocks outcrops eroded by the wind into splendid and puzzling shapes. Not far from here, in one of the Arzachena hills, stands a mansion owned by Mr. Pilastru. Savor, too, the fine foods at the splendid restaurant.

7. Nuoro and the Gennargentu

The streets are extremely narrow in Nuoro and deliver breath-taking views in all directions. The 19th-century Santa Maria della Neve church stands on a small cliff that drops into the city below and the small square in front of the church is the only level area in town.

8. Valley of Nuraghi

This dry expanse is ringed by cones that were used by volcanoes in the distant past, and it includes remains of other former settlements. In the later part of the sixteenth century BC, the country's three largest cities were founded. This is an enjoyable experience for travelers and for locals, so they can discover the climbable places of St. Paul's.

9. Tharros

Imagine yourself strolling along the desolate paths of the various Mediterranean cultures. You can still see remains of the circus and the amphitheater overlooking the sea.

10. Bosa

Bosa overlooks the mouth of Sardinia's only navigable river, the Sassari, in a valley which is today green with farms. A network of tangled medieval streets winds from the old stone bridge and pastel buildings lining the riverfront. If you wish to enjoy the ambiance of the Old Town of Lugo, you can park the car in the town square and continue on foot to the museum for the beautiful palace houses. Besides the palace, you can see the chapel that has a rare 14th-century fresco cycle.
